INTRO
Mario
Pinzi
The Editor
The body of
Christian Cherell, the most influential, troublesome and feared
player in the world of French information, is found brutally tortured.
Who among his numerous powerful enemies is responsible? And more
importantly, who was Christian, or "The Editor" as everyone
called him?
Mario Pinzi's thriller retraces Christian's life, from his childhood
in Cannes, through his turbulent love-life, to his position as
the most awkward publisher in France, a position from which he
alters the destiny of the nation. After his death, Inspector Malbrunot,
the gruff policeman who became his ally as a teenager, battles
against the clock to trace those responsible in a world of political
and financial intrigue, loyalty and betrayal, and too, too much
blood.
Currently garnering rave reviews in Italy, Mario Pinzi's "The
Editor" is a breathtaking exercise in suspense, a masterly
combination of romance, politics and sex, and an insight into
the dark heart of the media.
